This holiday season just gets better and better…

1)  I attended 6 Christmas parties this week (and 1 birthday dinner).  I love celebrating!  Good thing the holidays only come around once a year, otherwise I’d weigh about 250.

2)  A relief society sister friend of mine gave me a FISH for Christmas, to keep at my office.  As soon as the fish was presented to me, he/she/it started to lay on the bottom of the rocks, looking completely despressed.  I am really worried that he/she/it won’t even make it through the weekend.  This brings up a question…is it acceptable to give someone a pet for Christmas?  Isn’t is really like giving the person added responsibility and stress for Christmas?  I am going to be thinking about this over the next while.  Here’s a picture of the poor little, still unnamed fellow:

3)  Anyway, the real purpose of this post is to let you know how excited I am that MINT.COM, one of my ultimate favorite free web-apps now has an iPhone app, which is also free.  If you aren’t using Mint.COM to manage your finances, you are probably flat broke.  Since I’ve started using it, I can tell you exactly how much I spend on Diet Coke daily, weekly, monthly, yearly.  I can even provide a graph.  I’m still broke, but whatever, that’s because I have a purse addiction.  I can’t really blame the economy.

Watch Out – Ryan has a drivers license

Sorry about the crappy picture.  It seems, if you are anywhere on the property of the DMV, even outside on the stairs , you just can’t take a good picture.  Heaven knows I’ve never had a good picture taken at that place, you should see my drivers license photo.  One of my eyes is looking in the wrong direction, I look like I have LAZY EYE.  It actually serves to help me though, when I get pulled over, the cops usually let me go because they feel sorry for me or think I’m mentally challenged.

Ryan’s actual drivers license picture looks pretty good, considering they photograph you with a fluorescent light.  Also, the DMV doesn’t laminate the drivers license and give it to you on the spot anymore, it seems now that the DMV folks are working 4 10 hour shifts, they don’t have time to laminate.  We will receive the new license in the mail in 2 weeks.

Ry did great on his driving test, only receiving a 2 point ding for not parallel parking close enough to the curb.  Jerks!  Nobody parallel parks these days anyway.

This morning Ryan asked if he could take my car to school.  I asked how he thought I would get to work…he hadn’t thought through that part of the plan.

Somebody’s getting me this for Christmas…
